Why is there no real decent option for sorta-late night eats in this area? My friends came up with Miller's as a last resort option; even though they were familiar with it and said they liked the food, I was less than impressed. The place was quiet an hour or two before closing on a Wednesday night, and our waitress was friendly. She's probably the only reason they didn't get a one star. I poked at the menu, looking for something that wasn't especially heavy or greasy, and I settled on the key lime chicken salad. I know this is a sports bar type of place and I should know better than to order anything remotely close to healthy. Better life decisions overrode common sense though, and I ordered one of the things that they probably only sell two one in a given week. Out orders arrived - fried crap for one friend, osso bucco for another, the wifey got a soup that looked like melted butter, and I ended up with a salad that was pretty pathetic. Globs of heavy dressing composed mostly of mayo everywhere, crap thrown in a bowl, and some grilled chicken. Guys, I've had better salads courtesy of WaWa. I know, I know, it's not a salad place, but can they at least pretend like they care? Even putting dressing in a cup on the site would have been a better option. Needless to say, I was less than thrilled. Unless I'm in the area and nothing else is open, I'm not sure I have a reason to be back.

Our swim group of parents and swimmers enjoyed a night at Miller's. After a little research I found it to be the perfect fit for all ages and of course a lot of taps for parents. Surprisingly I found it was a chain too, but there is not one in Virginia where I reside. The exterior will remind you of a run of the mill steak joint like an Outback etc. Parking was fine, but when busy would be a challenges I suspect. No debris in the parking lot, or walks leading into the business. Something to note is the outside say St. Petersburg Ale House in huge letters. Our group passed it twice, Miller Ale is in much smaller letters. When stepping in I saw the difference from a chain steak joint, again even though this is one. Lots of open space with a combo of booths and high top tables that seated large groups. Also a bar in the center of the dining room. What may be the most striking are the 50 some large flat screen TV's. The dining room presented well and was clean. Service was immediately attentive and continue to be so for our large party of 15 the whole evening. No argument whatsoever on breaking the checks down, but as a courtesy it was mentioned up front. Service by both our waitress and the manager who stopped over a few times made the experience top notch. Both food and drink orders were taken quickly. For me the beer list was above average, but not what I expected from someone calling themselves an ale house. No craft beers were on the list as I recall, but if there were it was not a big enough selection to be impressed. Drinks were quickly handled by the bar as we hit them at the right time before 7 PM. The food was brought out close to all at the same time, I think a hiccup of one, or two entrees but with such a large group I would not even think of saying this was an issue...especially since mine was no delayed, ha, ha. Turn around was probably 30 minutes which was great for that large of a group that was not in a hurry and enjoying libations. The temperature on my dish a rack of ribs and fries was perfect and I really enjoyed. The small side of slaw did nothing for me, it was dry. I only hear complaint from one person on their oyster dish, but it was just that it could be improved. The manager stopped by to check on us and asked if certain customers could complete a survey on their dish to assist the restaurant. He was friendly and provided into about the chain and locations around the country for background. I was really shocking seeing that they were in so many states and I had never even heard of them. Some at the table opted for desert. I recall the brownie sundae being gigantic and heard rave reviews. My son had the Captain Jack buried treasure, a huge Oreo type of desert. He loved it and I tried a bite agree. Lots of positive and I would return. Keep up the great work, our party really enjoyed.

What is it with the super greasy fried seafood I have been experiencing lately? (Yeah, I know, ordering fried food is bad, blah blah blah - But I grew up in Florida eating fried right seafood, that was never greasy, never made you spit out oil after a bite, and when fried food is done right, the breading and correct oil temperature keeps the internal yummy morsels tasting oh so good.) I mean really? I have been a customer of the Ale House on 9th Street at Gateway Plaza since they opened. Yes the food can be up and down and I know this but yesterday my daughter made a special request to go there. She ordered, of all things, Fish & Chips. I foolishly followed that up by ordering the Seafood Platter. It was her pre-birthday night special dinner and she chose the location, so when my platter arrived and I noticed my fish filets swimming in a pool of grease on the plate, I used my good daddy personna and kept my trap shut. It was her choice of a restaurant, and she seemed happy, I would bite the bullet and get through the horror that lay before me. Not only did the two fish fillets have enough oil in them to completely soak a paper napkin, but the shrimp, scallops and clams all had breading that was falling off. I think the deep fat fryer must have been set at about 220 degrees or something because my seafood was more poached than fried. (Or maybe the food went in the fryer still frozen and simply steamed itself to death). My guess is faulty temperature settings because the french fries were more like limp white worms rather than real crispy chips that you would get with a real plate of Fish & Chips. Don't restaurant chefs in Florida know how to cook the basics anymore? I would be simply embarrassed to put out a plate of food like that in my own home, much less to a paying customer. My daughter did not even finish her fish, I know she did not want to say why and I was then sad that I had not sent the entire order back when it landed on the table. But these are the choices we make to sometimes seem more polite. With so many people making the choice to be polite, when served substandard food at restaurants. I wonder if the entire set of standards for good food are being eroded to the point where no one knows what good food is supposed to taste like?

Came by Ale house after landing at Tampa. Got the seafood Mac 'n' cheese since my friend talked about it. He got the fish and chips. The Mac 'n' cheese was not bad but very oily and cheesy. It also came with bread which was good with the pasta. My friend raved about the fish and chips and literally cleaned the plate. Two days later, 3 of us ordered from them again for pick up. The two guys got the fish and chips again and I got the fish taco. The fish lacked flavor and was a bit dried out. It was ok but not super great. I got fries instead of rice and beans but the fries were cold and sort of stale. It was a short drive, maybe 8 minutes away, so the fries were a little disappointing. To me the prices seem reasonable and the place looked hopping when I dined in the first time.

Pleasantly surprised by the Ale House! I mean if Aunt Ellen liked it then it must be good... Right? Lol! It is a standard pub with a large bar, dining on both sides of the bar, tons of TV's, pool tables, and video games. It's good for the whole family. It just had that happy laid back feel. Good drink specials, solid food, reasonably priced, and great service. The parking lot was busy, so be careful out there. Cheers!

Wait for a table was a little longer than the woman on the phone said it would be but it wasn't that big of a deal because they were super nice about it. Waited a little long for the food but it was a Friday night so that's to be expected. All of the food I've had here was great other than the green beans those were a bit bland. But overall great experience.

We went in on a very busy night with a large party that kept on growing. The hostesses and our waitress Samantha could not have been more accommodating and helpful. Lots of TVs with the sound on so we could watch the fight, decent pub food and good prices. Great night.

This place is good for what it's worth. I imagine coming to grab beer and a burger and catch the game would be a lot more satisfying than my experience here. My husband and I stopped in here for dinner on a random Monday evening. First of all, let me just say our server was AMAZING. She asked us if it was our first time there (which it was) and made sure to pay extra attention to us including having her manager stop by to see how everything was. We weren't overly hungry so we split the Grilled Mahi Mahi tacos with black beans and rice and the BBQ chicken flat bread. Both were just okay. Everything seemed to be lacking in seasoning. What made my time a little bit better (okay, a lot better) was when the server told us that first time guests got a free dessert on the house. I retract my second sentence that this place is only good for a beer and a burger because this place is also good for their Nutter Butter Ice Cream Cake. HOLY MOLY. I'm a peanut butter fiend...and this was heavenly to me. I don't think I'll be able to visit here again without ordering it. So, next time...a burger, beer, and Nutter Butter Ice Cream Cake for sure ;).

Nice place, but not sure why the people love the food here because I think the food can definitely use some work. Pretty bad, cafeteria-like food. On one visit I had the steak, which was kind of pathetic and small, also had the cheesesticks which were the weird, flat kind that Friday's has, and also tried the chicken fingers one other time I was here. Those were pretty gross. Very dry and not much meat, just gristle or some other weird chicken parts. Oh yeah, I also had the pizza once too. I would've rather had a generic, Walmart frozen pizza. It was that bad. The one good thing is the ambience. Definitely a sports bar vibe, huge TVs all over the place and it does have a very big bar. I'd definitely come back for drinks and to watch some games, but I'll be calling Papa John's to deliver a somewhat real pizza to me there.

Take Hooters, put proper clothes on the servers and an infinitely better menu, and you've got the Ale House. There's TVs everywhere you look and most of the menu is fried, but it's all very good and far from tacky. Unlike other sports pubs, it's worth coming here for the food.

  • Wayne S.

Predictably mediocre pub food. Nothing astonishing or surprising about this sports bar. Large menu with many choices. Cheesesteak is not too bad. Ribs were okay. More of a watering hole with a broad selection of drinking food. Food came out of the kitchen fast. Service was friendly.

So I wouldn't suggest using the directions from here to navigate around Florida because you will end up in a trailer park being chased by some trailer park white trash lady trying to kill us...real life experience. Correct updated directions is definitely needed!

My wife and I are frequent visitors to this location. However, this last Friday we arrived later than normal - around 7:30 p.m. The place was PACKED! However, we were seated immediately and had the normal great service throughout our meal. I ordered my normal scotch drink and a filet mignon cooked medium rare. The steak was cooked to PERFECTION and the broccoli was perfect as well. I made comment of this to our waitress, Jules, who informed me that the manager, Frenchie, had cooked my meal. Due to the unexpected absences of some of the cooks, he was assisting in the kitchen. Other managerial staff were assisting throughout the restaurant as needed, as well. I had spoken with Frenchie on several occasions and was not surprised to discover his cooking talents. I left the Ale House EXTREMELY IMPRESSED with the quality of the meal, the quality of the service, and the DEDICATION OF THE STAFF to pitch in where necessary to ensure that QUALITY WAS THE THEME THROUGHOUT! Thank you ALL for a GREAT evening!

My first time here. Our server was Angel. She did a fantastic job. Very attentive. Had the zinger melt and loaded fries. Very delicious. Very busy. Love the atmosphere. I will defiantly be back!

We always have a pretty good experience here. No, it's nothing fancy and no the food is not gourmet, but it's consistent and served hot . The beer selection is good but not fancy. It's a great place to get a real black and tan. The smoked fish dip and the zingers are our favs. The chicken sandwiches are great too. Clam chowder served thick, creamy and really hot, I love that. I see a lot of people eating seafood here but the one time I ordered it , it tasted fishy and not fresh, so I've never revisted for that. It's a good place to watch a game and service is always better at the bar. The hostesses are pleasant upon walking in so that always makes you feel welcome.

Pretty typical sports bar. Lots of big screen tv's and a menu of fried grease. But the service was prompt and attentive which definitely makes a difference. This is a place that would be great if it was local for you, but I wouldn't be able to say that I would go out of my way to eat or drink here. Parking is plentiful since this is located inside a strip mall and the prices are very competitive.

This place is perfect for grabbing a quick bite, catching a game, and downing a few cold ones. Pre-marriage, I also had an inordinate amount of first dates here. The food is basic bar food offerings. I do like the Zingers quite a bit. (Boneless wings, I love the Sweet Thai Chili.) They also have about a zillion beers on tap. I have been known to kill a few Sea Dog Blue Paws.

The pizza here is some of the best I've ever had (which is no small feat.) The other food is very good as well, but the place could literally be a standalone pizzeria.

I have been dining at the Ale House for several years. It's a good place to go when you don't know what you want to eat. There are a lot of options on the menu. The food is hit or miss. Nothing is going to blow you away. But one place where they excel is at sporting events. They have a lot of TVs and a lot of room.

They have great kids menu and healthy chicken! They came running out w my sons leftovers which saves me another dinner! Great customer service!!!! Kudos!!!!

The service was borderline bad; the girls were definitely "B crew" and so was the food. Price wise, it was extremely pricey for the quantity and quality of food. We likely won't be back.

Meh... Great apps good twists on classics like calamari and mozzarella sticks. Dinner was enjoyed by two out of four and so so for the other two. Seafood mac n cheese and traditional fish n chips were real good. The lobster bake which was the most expensive item on the menu featured overcooked seafood and under cooked veggies. Stay away from it. Service is usually always pretty good and tonight was no exception. This is a better bar than restaurant but nothing to say stay away just be selective with your food pick.

It's a great place to catch a game and have lunch. It's noisy, but it's a low roar so you can still have a conversation without yelling. The zingers are dry and could use a good soak in some buttermilk before they cook them. The Good: Good food, variety of beers, friendly staff, comfy seats. The Bad: Honestly I couldn't find anything to complain about. The Skinny: It is somewhere I will be going again.

one thing that bothers me is when you walk in and dont get any service. me and my wife are a young couple but with my wife being in the service industry one thing we know is good service..that food here is great but all i can say if you sit in CHRIS section i would recommend switching servers. He seems quick to judge honesty he walks around like he runs the place.Hate his attitude and the way he does his job...this opinion of mine is not from a one time experience its from sitting with CHRIS more then once..Im big on tipping but after tonights service me n my family will not be returning.

I'm from Illinois, and this was my first time in the Tampa/ St. Pete area. And this is right across the street and I have to say... This is probably my favorite spot now. The tv's were amazing and playing a lot of different games. The food I ordered the French dip and it was amazing. A lot of food for a good price. I would recommend this to anyone who loves going to Buffalo Wild Wings to watch a game or hooters.

Alright, I will start with the good. Good drink specials. Good place to watch sports. Good place to get together with friends. Now the bad. Bad service. Very slow. Especially when I needed to leave. It was a bit crowded, the World Series was on (my poor Tigers). Moreover, our waiter changed halfway through the meal. I just had some beers and some loaded cheese fries. I had already eaten earlier in the evening. My friends, however, had not, and were not disappointed with their food, but they definitely did NOT brag that it was amazing or delicious! When it was time to go, well, let's just say it wasn't. Our food and drinks were gone and we still waited about 20 minutes before our new waiter came around to check on us. We tried signaling, we tried calling, we tried everything... he was just in LaLa Land! It was frustrating, to say the least. I told him that I was in a hurry because I had to pick someone up and asked if he could please get the bill. He went to get the bill but then stopped at every table to chat on the way back. I specifically explained I was in a hurry, he was a jerk. So maybe 10 more minutes go by, I am watching him chat away at at least 5 different tables as he supposedly tries to hurry. I can see my bill in his hand. I am steaming mad. Finally, he comes to me. I give him my card right away without even looking at the bill. He goes off with it. AND THEN STOPS TO CHAT IT UP AT THE SAME TABLES ON THE WAY BACK! It was ridiculous. Maybe he forgot when I reminded him I was in a hurry. Maybe we was mad that I did not order food and he knew he wasn't going to get a great tip. Well I left him 20% anyways, but let's just say that there are a lot of other places that I will be going to before I come back here.

Food was okay but... we had an issue. My purse was on the floor next to where I was sitting as there was nowhere else to put it. One of the wait staff spilled all of the liquid from a tray right in and on my purse. Management was aware as they came over and I asked for a bunch of napkins. There was a lot of liquid to clean up and it was sticky. I had to clean my purse when the food came out while my food got cold. The manager didn't really apologize nor did he offer to comp anything. It would have been nice if he comped some drinks, appetizers, or entrees (or all). Because of that, I don't want to go back as I think it was handled very poorly. Otherwise I would.

Miller's Ale House is a nice bar-style restaurant with relatively simple food and good service. I have not yet had anything there that's amazing or extra special, but it's still pretty consistent good food. The servers are quick and they have a vast alcohol selection which is always fun.

I have been to at least 7 Millers Ale houses all over Florida. I've always had great food & great experience every time. I know that I will have fresh good food when I go here, which is important, because many restaurants serve standard fair, but its flavorless. This place is great and I feel good about spending my money here. It's great for couples, families, or just friends @ happy hour. This place really is for everybody. They have HUGE TV's for games. I don't watch games much, but I like that they are on & many seem to enjoy them. My favorite menu item & recommendation is "The Big Red" buffalo chicken sandwich. DELISH!

When ever we go to the St Pete Ale House we have a good time. Sam, Angel or Amy are always a pleasure to be served by! The whole staff seems to care about your experience. UFC fights can be crowded but with the large seating area you never have to worry about being squeezed by others. We enjoy the zinger melt with Mt St Helen's!!

Yes it's a chain. No the menu is not an inspired fusion from the chef's trek to a Tibetan monestary and his apprenticeship in Paris. But what you will get is good food consistently and good service with lots of beers on tap. The bistro burger is good as are the Big Red (buffalo style chicken sandwich). It's a good place to go when I don't want to cook. Baby back ribs are good but not bbq joint quality. It's not a destination restaurant but pretty good all around with lots of variety on the menu. I'd give it 3.5 stars if I could.

Pleasant surprise, I was a bit hesitant stopping in- I wasn't sure how kid friendly this place was. I came in for a quick dinner with my son. The host greeted us and seated us immediately. She was very pleasant. They have an awesome kid's menu, with lots of choices! Our server was also very nice and helpful. Very prompt with our drinks and our food came out with a quickness. Interior is nicely laid out. There are about 30 TVs (my son counted lol), large comfy booths and tables. A big bar sits in the middle of the restaurant with seating also. Very clean and everyone that worked there appeared friendly (no scowling faces!). I ordered the fish and chips and my son got the kid's chicken strips. VERY big portions. I was only able to eat half and he didn't finish his chicken either. Fish and chips- very crispy crunchy! Fries were also good! Lots of greasy goodness. Took half rack of ribs and mashed potatoes to go for the hubs. I didn't get to taste it but it looked delicious! I'll definitely have to come back and try some other dishes. Prices were very good for the portions you get.

Came in for a weekday lunch and it didn't seem too crowded. The zinger salad is a crowd favorite. Definitely more salad than you would expect. Everything was fresh. The others at the table ordered grilled zinger salad, chicken key lime salad and a mahi sandwich. Everything looked yummy and fresh. Even though everyone was very nice, service was a bit slow.

I kinda love this Ale House. It has a pretty big menu, and cheap drinks. I love the cheese fries and the wings. I come here when I'm in the mood for cheap, pretty decent food. They have good salads too, and fish sandwiches. They have something for everyone here, and pretty good daily drink specials. Good place to come with friends as well. :)

Decent enough beer selection though a few Texas selections would be awesome. The food was excellent and was fixed fast even though it was wrong because of us. I'm new in town and they bought us a desert. The captain jack something. Can anyone say "Nom Nom"? Angel was our server and she was also the bomb diggity.

This will be short and sweet since it's the third Miller's I've reviewed and this location was just as good as the others. Great service, consistently good food and a ton of beer on draft make Miller's a chain I'm happy to go to. I usually go with the Osso Buco, but this trip and I was in the mood for dumplings and soup. The french onion had some chewy onions in it, but the broth was delicious and I could taste the sherry. The dumplings were good, too. Great texture and flavor. This was another happy meal for me at another Miller's.

Beware of the lobster. Went in on Wednesday night for lobster night. My lobster smelled so bad of ammonia that I couldn't eat it. Had to send it back. Why wouldn't the cook check the freshness, someone could get really sick. Will never go back!

35 shrimp for (around) $10 how can you go wrong? My husband loves this and every time we are in Florida we try to find the closest Miller Ale House. The first one we dined at many years ago was in Orlando. This was in 2008 and we loved it. Perhaps the rose colored glasses and years between visits to Florida tainted our memories or perhaps the one in Orlando is just that much better than this location. We were greeted by some friendly folks and seated immediately. They were not busy on Saturday afternoon. Our waitress was okay. She put off the vibe as though we were putting her out by being placed in her section. She delivered our food and stopped by the table only a few minutes after to find out if everything was okay. I don't even think we had time to taste our food. Then off she went. We were seated by the kitchen entrance and saw her flash by at lightening speed a few times. She never once stopped back by to check on us. I did have to flag her down for more cocktail sauce and then when we needed more for the table we had to ask another waitress to send ours over so we could ask for more. She outwardly showed an annoyance each time we asked for these two items. We opted for a 15% tip because this is what the service warranted. The food is that of a sports bar and is reasonably priced. They have other options where you can get 35 shrimp - I wonder what it is about 35 shrimp. Must be a lucky number somewhere.

Tonight the family decided to eat at home so we ordered stuff to go.. Everything was ready in the 15 minutes they estimated I tried the key lime salad with blackened mahi mahi instead of chicken ... It has ice berg and romaine, tortilla slivers, diced tomatoes, black beans, corn and shredded cheese. Everything was tasty and the portion size was good. The only difficulty with this place that I've ever noticed is trying to pick something to eat because the menu offers so many choices.

I've never been to an Ale House I didn't like. I loved my blackened shrimp. My boyfriend loved his chicken sandwich. Great ambience, I love that they play Muzak instead of radio with commercials, and exceptional service. All the TVs are large and show all the good sports that are playing. There was a screaming baby but that's not the restaurant's fault. All-in-all we were pleased with everything.

I've eaten here 4-5 times over the last 2 years and they have been consistently mediocre on their best and icky on most days. The chicken Caesar salad is drowning in dressing. Chicken is ok, romaine lettuce is wilty, brown and blah. Their hamburgers are gut bombs that stay with you for days. the fajitas are tasteless. Their salmon is definitely not fresh. Do not recommend and will not be going back again

I love Ale House because the menu is competitively priced and diverse. And the experience in one restaurant is the exact same experience you'll find in any of their other locations. Consistency is key. I just wish they'd bring back all-you-can-eat Zingers. Pretty sure me and my friends put the Palm Harbor, FL location out of business with that one. Monday was always the best day of the week.

This is a fun, inexpensive sports bar. It is very big with lots of tv's. There are also tons of deals for food and drink. The food is generally bar food. But it is still a very corporate and sanitized sort of place. So while I have and will continue to go here, it just doesn't have the character and local flair that I think is necessary to go beyond an A-OK sort of place.

We came for the prime rib special- amazing! The meat was cooked absolutely perfectly and the service was phenomenal. We mentioned it was our first time here and we got a free dessert! Definitely will be coming back.

We hit this place a couple of times a month. It's about a mile from out house and, I must say, in March/height of tourist season we can at least get in the door and eat, which is a relief. Maybe the tourists don't know about it? My husband adores the beer selection (They have Dead Guy on tap, which is unbelievable), and the service is always really good. The bartenders are totally on top of it. The food is middle of the road, but decent. Huge portions -- most dishes are totally split-able. They have oysters, which is great. You can sit at the bar, share a dozen, have a drink or two and call it a night. Wish they had steamed shrimp as part of their "raw bar" offerings.

We come here a few times a month and enjoy doing so for these reasons: servers, hostesses and managers have always been friendly and welcoming; warm, inviting neighborhood atmosphere; prompt and accurate service, and of course the food has consistently been great. My husband is a meat and potatoes kind of guy (one of his faves is the Zinger Mountain Melt -- Zingers with your choice of sauce, French fries, topped with cheese, bacon and green onions), and I love salads and seafood (try the blackened Mahi sandwich -- seasoned just right on a big Kaiser roll with all the toppings) and the menu is large and varied enough to suit both of us on any given night. They have daily specials which we often take advantage of but the regular prices are reasonable for the amount and quality of food you get. It's our go-to place for a relaxing lunch after shopping at Gateway or satisfying dinner after a long day at work. I highly recommend this establishment .

I continue to go to Ale House periodically, and I haven't had a bad meal there yet. Service has actually gotten better lately. They were open Christmas Eve, and I took my 4 kids there (ages 25-13) for an after-church dinner. Everyone had a pleasant time and no complaints about the food. Our server was in a nice, friendly mood even though she had to work on Christmas Eve.

Good, not great. Come here a lot for the cheap lunch specials and WiFi so I can surf on the iPad while I eat. Nothing really stands out as amazing foodwise. Burgers are ok. I've had good fajitas, decent fish n' chips. Plenty of flat screens all over the place if you're looking to catch a game. 3.5 stars is pretty appropriate for this place so I'll round up and give 'em 4 since the service is good.

The bistro burger was very good and their portions are very generous for the price. They need to invest in some new HD Flatscreen's if they are going for the sports bar / restaurant kinda vibe. The old projection TV's were hard to view and kind of dim. Service was great even though they were busy. I'd give this place at least 4 stars if they updated the seating (comfort) and changed out the older TV's. I'm still coming back though, great food :-)

Not the worst place to watch a game. There's plenty of TV's, plenty of seating, inexpensive food, a couple pool tables and large cups for your tea/soda! They have full bar but not much variety in the draft beer area. If you're a bud/miller fan, you're ok. But if you're looking for craft beer, sneak in your own. "Bar Fare" would be the highest rating I could give the food, nothing is going to 'wow' you. Service has always been solid but with those large cups, they don't need to come by often. And the location is easy to access, lots of parking because it's in a large shopping area. Overall, you can find a better place in St. Pete to watch a game but it'll suit your needs in a pinch.

I love this place. Good drink specials and good food. Its nothing gourmet but their sandwiches/burgers are great! They have tasty wings and while I don't think their salads are very healthy, they are GOOD. Tons of tv's for sports as well. A good time with friends! Go check it out :)

Went here for the first time tonight and wasn't impressed in the slightest. My mother enjoys their cocktails which is why we went. I ordered teriyaki zingers, they came out with hardly any teriyaki sauce on them and the chicken as a whole tasted freezer-burnt. The ranch dressing was clearly out of a bulk jug as it tasted cheap. I ordered the british burger, it was cooked to my liking and did taste well, but I may have had about 12 fries total on the plate, and given the 9 dollar price tag I wasn't very happy about that. The service was slow, my cup sat empty for a good 5 minutes before I was able to flag the server down to get him to refill it. I eat out frequently and I must say I was not at all impressed with this establishment. The menu is also HUGE.

Finally decided to give this place a try. Like some others have said, it's good but not great. The waiter was very friendly and helpful. As for the food, the wings were the highlight of the meal. The menu has your typical bar variety with a decent but not great selection. We had mahi tacos and chicken philly. Both could have used some additional seasoning but were alright and came out fast. Drink specials are pretty good and there are a decent amount of tv's to watch the game. I might give it another try come football season. For now, saying this place is just average.

Very disappointing! A few years ago when it was St. Pete Ale House it was a great go-to place. This time around--not so much. Food was tasteless and too many options on the menu. Great Bar Food....don't come here looking for a great meal...good drinks and salty food to go with them. That's about it!

I have been here on several dates. The food always good/decent. The waitresses on the other hand are slow. I want to give the cook the tip and not the waitress. Their hamburgers are great. Chicken wings are good. It seems they do better on their normal menu then their specials.

Great place for lunch/dinner, OR Munchies, Drinks, and the Game! They have specials everyday, and they're usually worth checking-out. I've eaten there hundreds of times (work hang-out). I only ever complained about my food once to my regular server (nothing grievous really), and I was immediately compensated for the meal. After eating there hundreds of times, I can honestly say they're the most consistently good restaurant I know of.

A horses salt lick is less salty than the wings here... Also the service isn't that great had to wait over 20 minutes for a beer and it was not even close to busy.

The Ale house has definitely seen better days. The foods edible but nothing special. I had a philly which is supposedly one of their signature dishes and was not impressed at all. Stay away from their draft beer unless its Bud Light or Miller Light. The tap system is definitely not cleaned regularly as I ordered a Sierra Nevada and it tasted more like Milwaukee's Best. I suggest the Ale House for some light beer after work or a game but skip the food.

I used to love this Ale House, however it has gone downhill over the years. I still recommend it for the food and drinks. the clientele seemed to have changed, maybe a bit ghetto. Thursday nights is ladies nights, not a lot to look at, most women leave their kids in the car while they come in for the free drinks. Most everyone seems to want to smoke at the front door and leave cigs everywhere, plus a thick smokescreen you need a radar to navigate through to get in and out. Go during the day, better service, and food is really good.
